Monilex Sports was founded in 1988 by two veteran
rugby enthusiasts.

|
 |
Lexie Tynan,
President, started his playing career at Belvedere College
in Dublin and went on to play club and provincial rugby along side
such greats as Tony O`Reilly. He coached at senior club level, had
a trial for the National team and was for a number of years the Irish
sprint champion.
In Canada he coached at club and school level and is a certified level
2 course conductor and has served as a National selector. |

 |
Monty Heald, Vice President,
also started his playing career at school graduating to club rugby
in England and is still trying to work out why he wasn’t selected
to play for England having played along side such greats as Karl Mullen
(youngest captain of British and Irish Lions). He played senior rugby
for Hamilton Hornets and later Burlington Centaurs and is still wondering
why he didn’t get selected for Canada. He also coached at club
and school level and was ‘certified’. Monty spent over
a quarter of a century serving on various Canadian club, sub union
and national boards as an administrator. |

Jim McCann
added his considerable influence on the proceedings in 1990. Jim is
the ‘team specialist’ and has a solid background in the
game and started his playing career at school level in Scotland. He
played senior club and sub union rugby in Ontario and is currently
(just) actively refereeing. Jim is very active in referee administration
and is a qualified level 3 course conductor and has(is) served(ing)
on club, sub and provincial union committees. |
Total ‘rugby’ years for this
trio is a staggering 150
